M49 build, basically a 1:1 of the true vintage item with some minor modifications to accommodate the tube change.
This is built off the Dany Bouchard boards and the "C" variant of the M49 (fixed self bias)
- Studio939/Chunger body with binder connector
- 3U Audio/Guosheng M7 Capsule
- UTM 0549 Transformer
- Passives are Panasonic, Vishay, Ohmite
Capsule mount is high in headbasket and domed base helps minimize undesirable reflections/resonances.
Power supply, shock mount, cable, mic. No case, but satin pouch for mic included.
Build is about 3 years old, at the time I did it I had a real old M49 with an OG M7 capsule and while it might be missing _some_ of the detail and complexity of the original it certainly held its own in comparison. Sounds great.
