1999 Fender Classic Series ’50s Telecaster – White Blonde – Early Production – Excellent+ – Hard Case
Beautiful 1999 Fender Classic Series ’50s Telecaster in Excellent+ condition, exceptionally clean for its age.
The White Blonde finish is very well preserved, with only a few extremely light signs of use. The neck, frets, hardware and overall cosmetics are also very clean. No structural or functional issues. The guitar plays very well and is ready to go.
In my opinion, the condition is close to Mint-, but I am conservatively listing it as Excellent+ due to its age.
This is an early example of Fender’s Mexican-made Classic Series, produced in Ensenada and designed as a vintage-style recreation of an early-1950s Telecaster.
The White Blonde finish has developed a very light natural yellowing/ambering over time, consistent with the guitar’s age. It is subtle and gives the instrument a warmer, more vintage appearance and added character rather than looking like damage or discoloration. Overall, the finish remains exceptionally well preserved.
Modifications from factory specification:
The guitar remains very close to its original factory configuration, with two tasteful and fully reversible changes: the original white pickguard has been replaced with a black pickguard, and the original stainless-steel bridge barrels/saddles have been replaced with brass barrels/saddles. These changes preserve the traditional Telecaster layout while giving the guitar a more classic early-’50s appearance and a slightly warmer, rounder response. No routing or structural modification has been performed.
