The **ThorpyFX x Andertons “Six Zero”** is an **all-analog, limited-edition fuzz + tremolo** pedal built to capture the *feel* and *texture* of the classic **Tone Bender MKI** (the “TB MKI” / “MKI Bender” territory), but done with **silicon** and then paired with a **vintage-inspired tremolo**.
### What it is (in practice)
- **Two effects in one enclosure:** a **silicon Tone Bender-style fuzz** with a **tremolo after it** (so you get fuzz character first, then trem movement).
- Sounds range from **gated/choppy fuzz**-type aggression to **fuller sustain/saturation**, with lots of “sweet spots” depending on how you set the fuzz control(s).
- The tremolo is described as **Pink Floyd–leaning** in vibe (vintage trem wobble, from gentle to more psychedelic/shimmery).
### Fuzz section (Tone Bender MKI-inspired, silicon)
- Thorpy aimed to do a **silicon take** on the MKI Bender core circuit while still getting a **vintage-faithful tonality**.
- The fuzz side uses simple controls:
- **Level** (how loud / how much output)
- **Attack** (controls the sustain/character across the gated → more saturated spectrum)
### Tremolo section (Dan Coggins-style discrete trem)
- Tremolo controls:
- **Rate** (speed of the trem)
- **Depth** (how strongly the trem affects the dry signal)
- There are **separate footswitches** to:
- turn **fuzz on/off**
- turn **trem on/off**
### Controls & signal flexibility (front-panel summary)
On the standard “Six Zero” layout you’ll typically have:
- **Fuzz:** *Level*, *Attack*
- **Trem:** *Rate*, *Depth*
- **Two footswitches:** one for **trem**, one for **fuzz**
### Build & format
- **All-metal enclosure**, designed as part of the ThorpyFX “tank-like” approach.
- It runs on **9V** and uses a **standard DC input**.
- Physical format is a fairly standard stompbox footprint.
### The “limited edition” angle
- The original “Six Zero” was created for **Andertons’ 60th anniversary** (with a limited run associated with that launch), based on the MKI TB and Dan Coggins’ trem design ideas.
