About this listing
A used sunburst D-18 has just arrived! While the D-28 is Martinfs most famous model, we mustnft forget the classic Martin sound of mahogany sides and back. This model features the specifications from the generation prior to the current one. Made in the USA at the Nazareth factory The all-solid dreadnought body features a spruce top and mahogany sides and back. The top features forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing and an ebony bridge. The select hardwood neck, with a nut width of approximately 44.5 mm and a 25.4" long scale, features an ebony fingerboard. The headstock is equipped with Grover open-gear tuners. * The nut and saddle may have been replaced. The saddle has been filed down and is set low. Since arrival, the guitar has been cleaned, restrung, had the truss rod adjusted, and the action and nut height adjusted. The truss rod has been checked up to 60 degrees in both directions and is functioning properly; there is still plenty of fret life remaining. Lacquer wear is visible across the entire body (including dirt and marks from the playerfs arms and legs). Scratches, fine dents, and unevenness or paint peeling due to wood shrinkage around the binding are also present. The back of the neck shows a glossy finish from playing in the lower positions, and there is a dent on the back between the 2nd and 3rd frets. While there are signs of use and aging, playability is excellent. It produces a sound with rich sustain and a solid midrange!
