Designed in collaboration with John Carter Cash and the Cash Foundation, the Martin DX Johnny Cash acoustic electric guitar features a classic Dreadnought body shape built with jett-black HPL (high-pressure laminate) top, back and sides. Inside, the HPL top is braced with Sitka Spruce in the classic X-bracing pattern, giving this DX Johnny Cash Dreadnought the full and rich sound you would expect from a Martin.
The neck is made with Black Birch Laminate, sporting a satin-smooth hand-rubbed finish and a Performing Artist neck taper, making it so easy to play you can perform or record well into the night in complete comfort. The Performing Artist taper is a super slim and comfortable neck shape and the FSC® Certified Richlite® fingerboard inlaid with stars and the commemorative CASH logo pays homage to one of the greatest performers of all time.
The Martin DX Johnny Cash Acoustic Electric guitar comes stage ready with Fishman MX electronics, a low profile preamp system with soundhole mounted controls that faithfully amplifies the natural acoustic tone of the guitar.
