Epiphone PR 715-12 String Acoustic Guitar 1988 Korea Summary: They certainly don't make them like this anymore! Here we have a very charming 12 string from Epiphone made in 1988. For a guitar coming up to nearly 40 years old it's in good condition and sets up really well. The guitar sounds beautiful and has a wonderful chiming sound as you'd expect from a 12 string. Model: PR 715-12Year built: 1988Hard case or Gig Bag? - Sadly no case with this guitar, the guitar will be super well packed for safe shipment.Body Condition: 6/10From a few feet away it looks excellent. On close inspection you will find some signs of wear and tear, Some scratches, polishing swirls, a few dings in the top and around the sides of the body, nothing major or structural. Across the guitar are a few indentation marks, nothing that has broken through the gloss finish or the wood. I have done my best to capture these in the photos. The back has some light patina from use and some faint buckle rash. Yet again for a guitar this old nothing you wouldn't expect to see.Neck: 7/10 The frets are in good condition with signs of light wear and tear on the open chord end, certainly no need for any fret work in the immediate future. The neck is sighting good so no cause for concerns over a neck reset anytime soon either. The back of the neck has a few scuffs and dents you can feel when playing the guitar, however it really doesn't take away from the playing experience. No headstock breaks or major damage.Hardware: 8/10The machineheads are original and in good working order, some extremely light signs of tarnish. Saddle has been shaved down but the action is lovely and low for a 12 string.Electrics: N/APlayability:This guitar has been lovingly set up by Jon, one of the UK's most highly regarded and experienced guitar techs. That doesn't mean this guitar is the best playing guitar ever, it just means that he has taken the time to set it up. Adjust the action, intonation etc so that it plays as well as can be expected and stays in tune as good as any guitar of this type does. We all have differing styles and demands from our instruments. Some of us like fast n low actions for fretboard burning licks, others prefer a high n mightly action for show stopping windmills and downtuned heavy riffing and everything in between.
