Gibson Custom Shop Robbed and Website Hacked within 24 Hours

According to a report on Nashville's Channel 5 News, a thief broke into the Gibson Custom Shop facility early Tuesday morning and left with ten high-end Gibson instruments. The burglar entered the grounds in a white truck, cut a fence and broke a window to enter the building. His actions were recorded on camera.

Though the specific models and serial numbers have not been reported, the value of the ten guitars is at least $40,000 and potentially much higher.

In what appears to be a coincidental occurrence, the main Gibson website was taken offline by a malicious attack earlier today. As of the posting of this article, the site is not publicly accessible and the meta-data displayed in a google search result for Gibson reflects the site having been taken over by a spam bot.

If anyone has any information regarding the break-in and robbery, authorities ask that you contact the Metro Police Hermitage Precinct at 615-862-6993 or Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME (615-742-7463).
