1972 Ampeg SVT 8x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet Flat Back Alnico Magnet CTS 4 Ohm 240 Watt

Heres an original early 70s Ampeg SVT 8x10. Flat back. All original speakers are working great, no rubs or buzzing. Loaded with original 32 ohm 10" alnico CTS speakers which sound fantastic. These original flat backs are the cream of the crop as far as Ampeg 8x10 speakers go. A note on these. The Ampeg SVT was originally designed as a two cabinet system. Utilizing two of these cabinets. The cabinet is conservatively rated at 240 Watts total. You can use this as a single cabinet with a 300 watt SVT at reasonable volume but do not push it hard. You can stress the speakers beyond their capability. Personally I love these cabinets with ANY amplifier. I've used Marshall, Hiwatt and various other bass amplifiers through this. It really brings the best bass frequency response out of any amplifier. A 100 watt V-4B through this is a great combination too. Less heavy. Still packs the low end punch. Sounds absolutely huge. Has obvious cosmetic issues but these cabinets are built to last with heavy plywood. Shown using a trolley. Trolley not included.
