The flagship model of modern Fender, fulfilling every desire!

Following the evolution of the American Deluxe and American Elite, the Fender USA Modern Series continues with the American Ultra, which debuted in 2019 as its legitimate successor.

The neck shape features a "Modern "D"" profile. The fingerboard has a "compound radius (10"-14")" specification, which flattens towards the higher positions, balancing ease of grip in the lower positions with smooth fingering in the higher positions. A tapered heel cut at the joint makes accessing the higher positions easy.

The pickups are Ultra Noiseless Vintage in a PJ configuration, designed to minimize noise. It blends the sound of a Precision Bass with the crispness of a Jazz Bass in a well-balanced way.

It features switchable active/passive modes and supports 3-band EQ (in active mode) equalization via a built-in 18V-powered preamp. Even when switched to passive, it outputs a natural, passive Precision Bass tone.

It's impressive how it delivers a powerful, wide-ranging sound while maintaining a cohesive tone.
For example, when you want to produce a more traditional Precision Bass sound by using only the front pickup, you can fine-tune the EQ to achieve that level of versatility. Its practicality and ability to address even the smallest details are major strengths.
