The Boss OC-2 is a legendary analog octave pedal that adds two independent sub-octaves (one and two octaves down) to your original signal. Known for its monophonic, glitchy tracking, it’s highly coveted by bassists and guitarists seeking a "synth-like" or fat, gritty tone.

Core Controls & Features

• Oct 1: Adjusts the volume of the note played exactly one octave below the original.
• Oct 2: Adjusts the volume of the note played two octaves below the original.
• Direct Level: Controls the volume of your dry, un-effected signal.
• Tracking: It is purely monophonic. Playing chords will cause the tracking circuit to "glitch" or mis-track, which many players intentionally use for its unique, lo-fi charm.

• Current Draw: 4mA at 9V
• Power Requirements: Originally designed for the Boss ACA-120 12V adapter or a 9V battery. Standard modern 9V center-negative power supplies will work perfectly on most units, though older Japanese "silver label" pedals strictly required ACA adapters to function properly without a battery.
• Production Run: Manufactured from 1982 to 2003 (originally named the "Octaver" before changing to "Octave").
