Functional and in excellent cosmetic condition for its age.
This Cr-8000 is functional however some of the buttons aren't responsive. This is a common issue with these drum machines. the solution is clean the button contacts or replace the buttons. I would do this myself but then I would have to double the asking price.
Bearing the name Compurhythm, the CR8000 sits sonically between the classic CR-78 and the legendary TR-808. It is quite similar to the CR5000 as well, just with more features.
There are popular TR-808 style mods which allow the user to control tuning and decay of the CR-8000’s analog drum sounds. Of course, these mods are available at the user’s discretion and I will not install them on this unit.
