The Goldstar banjo, produced by Tokai Gakki in the 1970s, was popular as a highly refined domestic copy of the Gibson archtop model. Later, Tokai Gakki produced its own original model, a pre-war copy with a Gibson flathead, one-piece flange, and three-ply maple rim, and then produced the "T-1200R," which would later become known as a masterpiece. This is a used 1980 T-1200R Flying Eagle. It features a mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, Flying Eagle fingerboard inlay, flathead tone ring, one-piece flange, three-ply maple rim, mahogany resonator with double ring, and 24 brackets. It also has an armrest and tailpiece. All original parts are present, and the nickel hardware shows little tarnishing or discoloration, maintaining excellent condition. In recent years, the Tokai T-1200R has been highly regarded overseas as a Gibson copy model, sometimes referred to as a Gibson clone. While there are some minor signs of use and scratches in places, considering its age, this used banjo is in beautiful condition with minimal signs of wear and excellent playability.
