In 1975, when Alan Munde used his second Staghorn guitar while playing with Country Gazette, Stelling became a popular and widely known brand. Since then, the Staghorn has been Stelling's flagship model. This particular instrument is a used 2001 Staghorn. The neck and resonator are made of top-grade Claro Walnut with a beautiful grain. It features an ebony fingerboard, 3-ply maple rim, original flathead tone ring, Stelling one-piece flange, original tailpiece, original tuners, and nickel-plated hardware. The sides of the resonator and fingerboard are luxuriously decorated with ivoroid binding and abalone purfling for a high-end finish. The center of the resonator back is adorned with a three-dimensional "Stag Horn" wood carving, a symbol of the Staghorn. The headstock has been replaced with a new REMO after it arrived at our store. There are spikes on the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th frets of the 5th string. This Staghorn is in excellent condition, showing minimal signs of use and no noticeable scratches. The frets show almost no wear, and the neck is in great condition. In addition to the rich, dense sound characteristic of steel guitars, its abundant volume is particularly appealing and will satisfy any player. Original hard case included.
