⚡️1978 Greco EB-500 Bass (Gibson EB-3 style – long scale) ⚡️.
Built at the Fujigen factory in the late 70s, this "SG"-style Greco bass showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of Japanese luthiers.
It is a long-scale instrument featuring a mahogany neck and body—with beautiful grain visible beneath the finish—and a pickup configuration that mirrors the classic historic model:
all-mahogany construction, rosewood fretboard, set-neck design, a large humbucker in the neck position, and a punchier mini-humbucker at the bridge.
The neck is a joy to play—very comfortable in the hand with low action—and the instrument is lightweight (3.18 kg).
I have just finished a full inspection and setup in the workshop. Everything plays smoothly, and it sounds fantastic!
It can deliver a truly warm, rich tone or a more aggressive, Mike Watt-style sound;
it’s up to you to decide which project suits it best! Details and demo sessions available upon request.
