Flatiron 2MW mandolin, 1983

Serial number 83072271. Excellent condition. This pre-Gibson Flatiron mandolin does have a tiny amount of pick wear on the bass side, but has not gotten a lot of playing time in its 43 years. Spruce top; figured maple back and sides; bound top; bound ebony fretboard with both circular and snowflake inlays. 1-piece bridge, clamshell tailpiece. Flatiron pancake models like this offer a lot of bang for the buck in terms of playability, tone, and volume. Original heavy-duty hardshell case (with 5 latches!).
