Complete service recapping done by certified Nakamichi tech with all the proper test equipment. A total of 163 capacitors upgraded.
cleaned the heads and pinch rollers
cleaned the old lubricants from gears/shafts/naac module and re-lubed
replaced the belts and idler tire
checked the wow & flutter 0.016% to 0.024%.
adjusted the heads height-azimuth/tape travelling path/mechanism's offset.
cleaned the potentiometers using Deoxit D5.
6- replaced the reels sensor light bulbs.
reinforced the left side mountings of the transport mechanism.
replaced the electrolytic caps using Nichicon FG/FW/KW audio caps in the power supply circuits,
United Chemicon in the logic circuits Nichicon Muse non polar audio caps and Wima film caps in the audio circuits.
7 - replaced the orange polypropylene caps using WIMA PP caps.
upgraded the 1uF/2.2uF electrolytic caps in the audio path using Wima film caps.
increased the value of the eight Dolby power supply filter caps from 100uF to 220uF.
increased the value of the playback power supply filter cap from 100uF to 470uF.
