Now available on consignment, a 2006 Gibson Custom Shop ‘60 Les Paul Special reissue.

This guitar is another interesting offer from Gibson in the early 00’s, more or less a reissue of a ‘57 style Les Paul Special, despite what Gibson says.. featuring two “soap-bar” P90’s, a wraparound bridge/tailpiece, Mahogany body & neck, Rosewood fretboard, tophat knobs, and 3-in-a-line Kluson deluxe tuners.

There have been no modifications to this guitar at all so far, and the cosmetic condition, though definitely used, is quite presentable still. There are numerous small dents and dings, and a fair amount of buckle rash on the back near the neck joint, but almost no finish is chipped or missing, and aside from some scratching on the treble side of the headstock face, the neck itself presents well also.

All in all this guitar is a good solid example of an early 00’s Gibson, sets up easily, solid, plays very well and very comfortably. The neck is chunky but shaped well, and quite comfortable in the hand. Freshly strung with a set of 10-46’s, comes with original COA and OHSC.
