The Roland SH-01 GAIA is a hands-on virtual analogue synthesizer designed to make sound creation immediate and intuitive. Combining a powerful triple-layer synthesis engine with a front panel covered in dedicated controls, the GAIA delivers everything from classic analogue-inspired tones to complex layered textures without menu diving.

Built around three independent virtual analogue engines, the SH-01 allows each sound to be constructed from three complete synthesiser layers, each with its own oscillator, filter, amplifier, envelope, and LFO. The result is a surprisingly powerful instrument capable of thick unison sounds, evolving pads, punchy basses, and cutting leads, all while maintaining a straightforward and approachable workflow.

The compact chassis houses a full-size 37-note keyboard, onboard effects, arpeggiator, phrase recorder, D Beam controller, USB audio/MIDI connectivity, and battery operation.
