• This is the only one of these I’ve seen in this size - and it’s the only one I have.  It is similar to the Meinl Byzance Extra Dry Dual Crash, but it doesn’t cost $410.

  • Not even close.  And it’s a hell of a lot lower on pitch too! It’s like a Dark Effects Crash.

  • And it only 962 g this Hand Hammered beauty is thin and extremely responsive. It has a very LOW profile giving it a distinctive dark and mellow quality.

  • A dark, paper thin - beautiful hand hammering both on the unlathed surface and off with extra DEEP hammering ringing the edge! And the edges blur subtly when struck.

  • Istanbul describes this rare 16” as:
"Big hammer marks for a trashy effect in addition to the dark and warm traditional Turkish cymbal sound on all Hame models. Combination of hammered and lathed surfaces of split crash, flange crash and a warm ride results in a thinner edge for quick accents."

  • And that is accurate.  Again, this specific one has a mellowness to it.

  • It’s like a faster, more mellow Crash Of Doom that decays quickly.

  • ULTRA dark. Plenty of lows. Slightly COMPLEX. Exceptionally responsive. Played-in vibe even though it's NEW looking. Soft, quick response that opens up with even the lightest touch. Exceptionally LOW pitched. Overall very smooth and mellow with a hint of trash - just enough to make it NOT like a regular Crash.

  • Makes a unique, low and controlled smaller Light Ride too!

  • Immaculate. No issues. The only one I’ve seen. A very cool cymbal with many applications.
