Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Stratocaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, finished in original custom color Olympic White and complete with the original hardshell case. Weighing 7lbs 8oz and offering a very pronounced and bass-rich natural resonance and acoustic bark, this alder-bodied Strat needs no neck shim for optimal neck pitch, with full contact in the pocket between the body and neck.

The gray bobbin pickups all retain their original windings, and via the original three-way pickup selector the bridge pickup has a sparkling spank and accentuated upper midrange, while the middle pickup is dry and focused with a clear chop that’s great for chording. The neck pickup is round and potent, offering both a woody cut and a velvety smooth quality. This Stratocaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

All three gray bobbin pickups have original windings on each coil and cloth-covered leads. Aside from the modern Volume pot (original included), the electronics are 100% stock. The vibrato is a highly accurate aged replacement courtesy of CrazyParts, currently fitted with five springs for a deliberate yet very smooth response. Other hardware is stock including the L-prefix neck plate, jack cup and strap buttons, and all plastic parts are original.

The original Olympic White nitro lacquer gloss is 100% original save for a localized area of older thin clear lacquer overspray on the treble side of the top behind the bridge, buffed smooth with the surrounding lacquer. There is prominent checking across the body, with a couple spots of wear through the finish on the treble side of the back and various small dings and scuffs from use. The neck profile has an extremely fast, silky feel, with natural pam wear through the gloss on the shoulders and central to the carve in the lower registers.

The original black tolex hardshell case is included. The case has functional latches, the original handle, clean black leather ends, and raised tail-less Fender logo on the lid. The original Volume pot and nut are present in the case pocket.
