Yamaha large-bore tenor bass trombone Xono. One-piece 8.5-inch gold brass bell. 13.89 mm bore. Traditional wrap F-attachment. Manufactured around 2000. Accessories: Original hard case

[Condition]
Small dents repaired on bell flare, slide end, and F-attachment. Lacquer paint peeling and scratches on gooseneck, rotary bypass tube, various tubes, slide barrel, outer slide, and slide end crook. Rotary valve disassembled and internal cleaning, all soft parts replaced, and all parts serviced.

Yamaha large-bore tenor bass trombone, traditional wrap model of the Xeno series. While open-wrap designs, prioritizing clear projection, are currently the mainstream for tenor bass trombones, many players still prefer the moderate resistance and focused sound characteristic of traditional wraps. The continued availability of this model's successor, the YSL-882GII, demonstrates its enduring popularity. The sound produced by the one-piece 8.5-inch gold brass bell is characterized by a dense, resonant tone. It offers a comfortable response when blown, projecting a well-defined and forward-sounding tone.
