Here we have a fabulous example of the wonderful KAWAI MP7SE stage piano. Drawing upon 90 years of acoustic piano craftsmanship, this Japanese designed instrument ( but actually made in Indonesia) utilizes Kawai’s highly-regarded Grand Feel keyboard action for an exceptionally realistic playing experience, with the most realistic sound, and the most control. Widely used/endorsed by top pro musicians all over the world since 2023, but (surprisingly) not that well known in UK.

The best keyboard action available in a stage piano
All eighty-eight black and white keys pivot on a central balance pin in a smooth, seesaw-like motion. The Grand Feel keys are longer than any other digital piano keyboard action, with the pivot point distance extended to match that of a Kawai grand piano. When the front of a key is pressed down, the rear rises, throwing a hammer which plays the note. These hammers are graded in size and weight, replicating the heavier bass and lighter treble notes of an acoustic grand piano, while additional counter-weights embedded within the lower keys help to lighten their touch during pianissimo passages. The Grand Feel keyboard action even reproduces the subtle let-off sensation felt when playing the keys of a grand piano very softly, satisfying the expectations of even the most discerning pianists, featuring Kawai’s Ivory Touch key surfaces as standard. This finely textured material gently absorbs moisture to assist playing control, and possesses a natural, matte finish that is smooth, but not slippery.
Soundslike? One YouTube video attached. This player is a bit good (respect!).You will get a good indication of the sounds on board. It has to be said that we are hugely impressed with this instrument <> its just STUNNING!...and IT IS EASY to quickly understand how it works.
This particular MP7SE was sourced from Cheshire, belonging to a pro musician; with a dry, pet-free, toddler-free studio. It was specially purchased to use with a planned project, which did not happen. Kawai was removed from the box, fired up, then replaced in the box (with ALL accessories/manual etc). Condition is thus EXCELLENT all over, with NO signs of use. The 88 keys are immaculate, with no issues. 4/5 years full guarantee is still valid, as this shrewd owner took out an extended warranty with the UK retailer at the time (excluding user misuse)....which IS transferable. How good is this?
Note this <> KKGB also have its big brother in stock, the monster MP11SE. If you want the BEST WOODEN-KEYED "grand piano" in the world, this is THE ONE. Endorsed by many pro players. KKGB special price is £1850....not as pristine as the MP7SE, to be accurate, but in general good condition and functionality all over (including the wooden keys). If you do not plan to do many gigs with it, this could be the instrument that your fingers were made for, if you insist on a "grand piano" feel....still with 256-note (max) polyphony and same resident sample library on board.
