We’re incredibly fortunate to currently have several Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection guitars on the floor, and this 2014 Les Paul R9 is an absolute standout.
For many players, the R Series guitars represent some of the finest instruments Gibson has ever produced. They capture everything we love about a vintage 1959 Les Paul while offering the reliability and consistency expected from a modern Custom Shop instrument.
This particular example features a stunning flame maple top and is in exceptionally clean condition, showing very little playwear. The large late-’50s neck profile feels substantial without being cumbersome, and the guitar plays effortlessly with a smooth, comfortable feel that simply invites you to keep playing.
