Rogers 13/16/16/22/5x14" PowerTone Drum Set - 1960s Champagne Sparkle

A really beautiful 1960s-era Rogers PowerTone kit with 5-ply Holiday shells from the Dayton, Ohio manufacturing period. The pieces, the 9x13" tom, two 16x16" floor toms, 14x22" bass drum, and 5x14" snare, are all original with Beavertail lugs, Dayton tags with serial numbers in the 86xxx-88xxx range, and speckled grey interiors, save for the snare, which has a 23xxx serial number with the same interior. The drums are in excellent condition for their age, with very little rust or blemishes. There are some age-typical spots of wear, like the bass drum hoops, but otherwise the kit is in pristine condition. Comes with a bass drum mounted cymbal stand as well.

Rogers drums were ahead of their time in many ways, including being the only American company to utilize a sharper, 45º bearing edge as early as the mid-60s. This gives these kits a unique balance between aged vintage tone, and contemporary openness and attack. Ultimately versatile sizes and more contemporary, edgy tone make mid-60's Rogers a great choice for a do-it-all kit with the look and feel of a vintage kit.
