Gibson / 1969 B-25

The B-25 was introduced in 1962.

As the successor to the LG-2, the B-25 shares the same body size, X-bracing, and wood materials as the LG-2.

The adjustable saddle, which the LG-2 began using around 1960, is inherited by the B-25.

The distinctive feature of this model lies in its bridge.

While B-25s up to 1968 had an upper bridge (adjustable saddle), this 1969 model features a down-belly bridge (adjustable saddle).

Another interesting difference in internal structure is the bridge plate: the 1968 model is secured with a total of four screws (four on each side) for the bridge and adjustable saddle, while this 1969 model only has two screws (two on each side) for the adjustable saddle.

This might also make a difference in the sound's resonance.

For those people, the small-bodied B-25 is a great choice.
Compared to the company's J-45, J-200, and Hummingbird, it can be purchased for about one-third the price.
The X-bracing and adjustable saddle combine to create a pleasant lightness and a bright, resonant tone that is very appealing.

-The guitar shows signs of age-appropriate wear, including scratches, scuffs, dents, and weather checking.
-The tuning pegs have been replaced (original parts are included).
-The neck has been over-lacquered.
-While a thin, single-piece truss rod cover (approximately 0.5mm) is standard, this guitar has a thicker 1mm cover.
Therefore, we believe it may have been replaced.
-The endpin hole has been enlarged, suggesting a possible pickup was previously installed.
-There are signs of sanding on the top of the bridge.

[Playing Condition]
-String height at 12th fret: 6th string side 2.5mm, 1st string side 2.1mm
-The string height can be adjusted using the adjustable saddle.
-There is no buzzing or dead spots, and the guitar plays well.
