This Universal Audio 1176 Limiting Amplifier was purchased brand new and has been carefully used in a studio environment for band recordings. It has been well maintained and never taken on the road, smoke-free studio use only.
The unit is fully functional and performs exactly as expected, delivering the classic 1176 sound—fast, punchy compression with plenty of character. It has been used primarily on vocals, drums, bass, and guitars, and has always been handled with care.
Cosmetically, it is in very good condition with only minor signs of normal studio use. No modifications have been made, and it has not required any repairs.
The only note is that the input control can produce a slight crackle when being turned. This is only present while adjusting the knob and does not affect audio performance once set.
