Three-voice polyphonic FM synthesis with full six-operator architecture — a genuine recreation of the DX7 sound engine in compact form. Accepts original DX7 patch data, which opens up a vast library of sounds from the community. The built-in chorus adds instant width and that unmistakeable eighties sheen. Arpeggiator, 16-step sequencer, MIDI input, sync I/O, built-in speaker and battery power round it out.
The original Volca FM has a particular grit and character that the FM2 softened somewhat — if you want that slightly rawer FM texture, this is the one.
