This Martin D-35 was made in the USA in 1966. It is an "employee" example - Martin employees sometimes built themselves guitars and this is one such example - the only difference is they lack a serial number and logo, but otherwise conform to factory specs. This one has a luthier date of 11-16-66 inside. There are two other features of "employee" models worth mentioning. First, for whatever reason they tend to have the most spectacularly figured rosewood, and this one is a good example of that, and second, because they are not serialized they tend to be 10-20% less expensive than standard examples. In other words, "employee" guitars are factory made Martins with better wood and lower prices. The guitar was made in 1966, the second year the D-35 was available. Aside from a refret and new nut it appears to be all original. The action is low and the guitar is in good playing condition. It has been pro-setup in our store and comes with a non original hard shell case.
