Vintage Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins Nashville, USA - Circa '61 - 63. This lovely Nitro Refinish came to us just as body/neck and a box of parts, which thankfully included the original wiring harness with ’63 Filtertron pickups attached. The refin has the stickon f-hole’s. The original factory body/neck are in excellent condition. Replacement parts: due to the either condition or miss-match of some parts, we replaced them either with age appropriate or the highest quality of parts we had while we waited to find age-appropriate originals. With few exceptions like the pad and plastic rear hole access cover’s, truss rod cover which we could not find originals for yet. Original Bridge was cracked so it has a new base with Nickle Vintage Gretsch Space-Control Bridge. Toggle and Top strap pin are new Gretsch replacements in Gold with the Selector Switch’s in Nickle finish. I have no way of verifying the original Tone and Volume control knobs that came with this project however, they appear age appropriate and look the part as from 1957 to 1967 Gretsch made the Classic “Arrow thru a "G" on top with the cross-hatch pattern on side. We opted for Duesenberg MZT33N Tulip style Z-Tuner’s in Nickel finish as I did not want to drill new holes in the head stock and the originals had one damaged and one miss-match tuner. Original pickguard has a crack in it (included). Tail piece is a Vintage fan from another “63 archtop. The refin came with no original mute, so we offer a new Gretsch uninstalled replacement (included). “Some confusion exists over the difference between a Chet Atkins Nashville 6120 and the earlier Chet Atkins Hollow body 6120. In a nutshell, there isn't any difference! The Nashville name simply started to be used from early 1964 with the horseshoe headstock and Nashville on the pickguard.” All evidence minus the serial for this guitar points to ’62 ~ 63. Original 6120s are hard to find. The orange on this one has not faded as with most, and with all its controls working perfectly! They are very highly sought by musicians and collectors alike. This is a great example of why they are hard to find as “biding rot” is a common problem in this Gretsch era, which often leads to body damage which in turn collectors & luthiers often do not want the undertaking. These models are then often and unfortunately parted out. Comes with non-original Classic "Gretsch" case.

Professionally packed.
