This 2006 Fender '57 Twin Reissue is a beautifully built recreation of the original low powered tweed Twin, capturing the character and response of the late fifties design while offering the reliability and functionality expected from a modern amplifier. The cabinet is finished in tweed that has been aged aftermarket using a nitrocellulose lacquer, giving it the warm, authentic look of an original survivor. It houses a pair of Eminence 12 inch Fender Special Design speakers and features an upgraded thick leather handle, staying true to the vintage aesthetic while improving durability.

The 40-watt low powered Twin has long been considered the sweet spot for many guitarists. It offers the lively dynamic feel of a smaller amp with enough volume for real stage use, breaking up naturally at gigging levels while still retaining headroom for pedals. The dual rectifier design allows for further tuning of feel and compression, and removing one rectifier can yield an even earlier and softer breakup at lower volumes.

Tonally it delivers the classic tweed Fender voice: open, warm and harmonically rich with that familiar mix of grit, chime and touch sensitivity that suits vintage rock, blues and roots players. For an amp approaching twenty years old it presents in remarkable condition, showing minimal wear and functioning exactly as it should.
