Here we have a vintage 1970 Gibson ES-175D hollow body electric guitar! This one is in very good condition and features a cherry sunburst finish.

Specs include a maple body, rosewood fingerboard, mahogany neck, rosewood bridge and parallel-o-gram inlays. It has double line double ring tuners, a multiply black guard and witch hat knobs. The nut width is 1 11/16” and the guitar has its original patent number sticker pickups.

This one is in very good condition overall and quite original. The tuners appear to have been changed at some point, but the originals are back on without extra screw holes. It has been refrettted with larger wire and there is a strap button on the upper bout. The ground wire has been updated and the parallel braces have a thin layer of wooden reinforcement added to prevent the top from sinking. The finish is original, as are the pickups, other electronic components and parts. There guitar has some light scratches, faint dings and topical marks across it. The finish and parts have a nice patina about them. The finish on the back of the neck shows humidity spots, but these cannot be felt while playing.

The guitar weighs 6lbs 13oz. The neck measures .750 to .940 at the 1st and 9th frets. It has a slim oval C neck profile that is both comfortable and familiar. The guitar has an excellent tone with a nice acoustic voice and plenty of acoustic volume. The top drives well when pushed and there is a touch of natural reverb emanating from within. Overall an excellent example with the right neck specs and original pickups in-tact.
