Gen X kits were Premier's flagship drumset in the early 2000's and feature undersized maple/birch hybrid shells, diamond chrome plating, deep sparkle finishes, and nylon tension rod inserts to prevent detuning.  This kit embodies the best of maple and birch shells, having the warm round sound of maple combined with the attack and eq'd sound of birch.
