Amazing condition original 1960 Special (this is the first model Gibson removed the Les Paul logo).
All original including finish. I thought this guitar may have had a re-fret due to absence of fret nibs on many of the frets, but on closer inspection I believe they are original and it’s just binding/play wear. Tons of meat left on the frets and recently dressed as part of a setup. I think the Gibson cases with purple lining are from the early ‘70s (you be the judge), but it’s a perfect fit for this guitar.
Relatively high output original P90’s sound awesome and the real sweet thing about this vintage guitar is its setup with very low action and amazing playability. Beautiful slim 1960 neck profile with Brazilian rosewood board.
No neck repair of any sort on this guitar and this 1960 model had the neck pickup moved away from the heel joint to make it much stronger (compared to 1959 model)
