Great sounding MXR Phase 90, no box.

This pedal was fully tested and works as it should with no issues.

The MXR Phase 90 is a classic, analog four-stage phase shifter pedal first introduced by MXR in 1972. Key Features & Specs

• Control: Simple one-knob interface (SPEED) that adjusts the rate of the phase sweep from a slow, subtle shimmer to a fast, watery warble.
• Power: Runs on a single 9-volt battery or an optional 9V DC power adapter (such as the Dunlop ECB003 or DC Brick™).
• Bypass: True hardwire bypass.
• Famous Users: Eddie Van Halen, David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, and Mick Jones.

Popular Versions

• Standard Block Logo (M101): The modern production model featuring a brighter, slightly more aggressive phase sweep. You can check current pricing or purchase details via the Jim Dunlop MXR Phase 90 Page.
• Script Logo Reissue: Recreates the original 1970s circuit without feedback resistor changes, offering a warmer, more organic tone.
• EVH Phase 90 (EVH90): Designed with Eddie Van Halen, featuring his signature red/white/black Frankenstein graphics and a push-button switch to toggle between modern "Block" and vintage "Script" modes.

Tips for Use

• Placement: Putting the Phase 90 before distortion/drive pedals yields the classic Eddie Van Halen swirling sound, while placing it after gain produces a more pronounced, modern "whoosh".
• Speed Settings: Setting the knob around 9 to 10 o'clock gives a slow, classic sweep (favored by Van Halen and David Gilmour), while pushing it past 2 o'clock creates a fast, Leslie-style rotary effect.
