Common questions

Is the Flight Pathfinder TBK Tenor a solid body electric ukulele?

Yes. The Flight Pathfinder TBK is a solid body electric tenor ukulele with a dark brown basswood body, a gradient black flamed maple top, and a roasted maple neck and fretboard. It has a dual cutaway, 22 frets and a 432 mm (about 17 inch) scale.

Does the Flight Pathfinder TBK Tenor need an amplifier?

Yes. The Flight Pathfinder TBK has a solid body with no acoustic sound chamber, so it is made to be played through an amplifier using its output jack.

How is the Flight Pathfinder TBK Tenor tuned?

The Flight Pathfinder TBK is tuned G-C-E-A with a wound low G, so the G string sits below the C rather than above it (Flight calls this linear tuning). It uses metal strings in gauges .010, .013, .017 and .026.

What pickups and controls does the Flight Pathfinder TBK Tenor have?

The Flight Pathfinder TBK has one humbucker pickup and one single-coil pickup, a three-way switch to use either pickup alone or both together, and volume and tone controls.

Does the Flight Pathfinder TBK Tenor come with a gig bag?

Yes. The Flight Pathfinder TBK includes a padded gig bag with 15 mm of padding.

Who is the Flight Pathfinder TBK for?

The Flight Pathfinder TBK suits players who want a fuller, louder voice and more room on the fretboard, including performers and players with bigger hands. The built-in pickup lets you plug into an amp or PA for gigs, open mics and recording.
