Tone King's Imperial All-Tube Preamp brings the preamp and phase inverter circuitry of the Imperial MKII amplifier to a compact, pedalboard-friendly format. It is designed to deliver the amp's '50s tweed, '60s blackface and vintage British rock-inspired tones, with the harmonic richness and touch response associated with the original amplifier.
Three high-voltage 12AX7 preamp valves provide the core all-tube signal path, retaining the Imperial MKII's interaction with guitars, pickups and effects. Onboard reverb, tremolo and attenuation expand its range, while a low-latency impulse response loader is available for each channel.
