For sale are two different Electro-Voice microphones in the 664 & 674, that have been cleaned and serviced with new foam inside their grilles! Functionally wise, each one is working properly and sounds great which is certainly not always the case.

The cleaning did not simply include a wipe down of the body, with each portion inside each grille also receiving a cleaning including the capsule. After 50+ years of service, metal shavings and debris commonly find their way inside affecting the sound. To avoid that, both were serviced to have the debris removed to make sure both mics work unimpeded.

So if you end up buying these two, know that you receiving two mics that are not only working well but have also been carefully refurbished. So the chances of running into issues in the future is greatly diminished, just treat them with some care. The only caveats with these microphones is some cosmetic wear that comes with age.

Lastly, alongside these microphones you will receive a single 4 Pin Amphenol to XLR cable which has new cabling. No need to worry about an old cracking cable or one that has an odor because no one wants that.
