Older SM57s often have foam inside the grille that crumbles over time, degrading audio quality. However, in this instance, the foam has been carefully removed and replaced, ensuring the capsule remains clean, and the microphone delivers optimal performance. Avoid others who have not replaced the foam, as it may crumble all over the capsule, leading to reduced frequency response. Also please note, this microphone has been carefully cleaned as well.
