Vintage Neve 1272 Mic Preamp Pair, JLM 1272 Kit with DI, 48V, Worldwide Voltage

A pair of original vintage Neve 1272 modules, professionally racked as a two channel 1U unit using the JLM Audio 1272 kit with DI. Phantom, pad and phase on each channel. Fully working and tested.

Both modules carry their original Neve type plates reading TYPE No 1272, and both run genuine Neve BA283 discrete Class A amp cards with the original Neve transformers. These are real modules pulled from a desk, not reissue cards in a modern box.

Sounds incredible on stereo overheads, dual guitar mics, bass and vocals. Came out of a working studio and has earned its keep.

Racking

Professionally racked using the JLM Audio 1272 kit with DI. JLM, Joe Malone in Brisbane, is the reference for this work in Australia, and the kit is a known quantity rather than an anonymous rack job, which matters when you are buying vintage modules in someone else's box. Neve Edge connector boards, JLM DI and phantom boards, tidy internal loom.

Power

External two part supply and both parts are included. A 48V DC switching adaptor feeding a small alloy regulator box, which then feeds the rack.

The adaptor input is 100 to 240V, 50/60Hz, so this runs anywhere in the world. A buyer in the US, Japan, the UK or Europe needs nothing but their own IEC lead. No step-down, no transformer, no PSU swap.

Condition

Fully working. Both channels tested, every switch and pot doing what it should.

Cosmetically it is a working studio unit. The front panel has handling marks and the modules show their age, which is what a fifty year old pair of Neve modules looks like. Internally it is clean and everything is properly terminated.

Selling because I am thinning out the studio.
