Avalon Design U5, serial 60868. Bought new by me and it has never had another owner.

The U5 is the standard DI in a lot of professional studios and has been since 1995. Pure Class A, high voltage, made in San Clemente California. Most people know it for bass, and it is superb on bass, but it is just as good on acoustic instruments, keyboards and synths. I have also run it as an extra preamp channel when I have needed one more than the desk had.

100% working. Every switch, knob and the six position tone shape control all do what they should.

Set for 230V and has only ever run on Australian power.

Condition

Very good and honest. The brushed faceplate has scuffs and light scratches, mostly around the input oval and the screw heads. The chassis and rear panel are clean. Nothing loose, nothing intermittent. All shown in the photos.

No original box. It will be packed properly if you want it posted.

Pickup from Newport, Victoria so you can plug it in and hear it. Happy to ship at buyer's expense.
